Individual Sessions

"I believe that healing takes place on both the physical and emotional levels, but that the deepest healing takes place in the realm of the soul. Cranio-sacral work is a refined technique that has the power to access the most physical expression of our souls.

"Acupuncture, an ancient healing modality, is another wonderful and extremely beneficial medium for achieving profound healing."
~ Ursula

What is Cranio-Sacral Work?

Cranio-sacral work is both an intuitive healing art and a scientific form of therapy. It is the most subtle hands-on therapy there is. The masterful application of cranio-sacral work required that I commit to years of in-depth study of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and dedicated hands-on training, as well as the development of intuition, sensitive hands, and inner stillness.

In this healing art, you (the client) and I listen carefully to the expression of the your body, its comfort and discomfort and its needs. This listening is done through the use of different cranial techniques—involving my hands, my mind, and most all of my heart.

Through this skillful listening, your body relaxes and is able to let go of tension and pain. Once this is achieved, your emotions are able to surface, to be heard, and then to relax. With continued listening, your soul will start to express itself and this is where the deepest level of healing can occur. It is in this safe and open space that your life's experiences will make sense, joy will arise, and the future will come into clearer focus.

What are Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine?

Acupuncture is the most widely known therapeutic form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is a body of unifying philosophies and principles that define all of the traditional medicines of the Orient. It is a complete healing science and is over 2,000 years old.

This healing art is based on the concept of "Qi"—life force or vital energy. TCM looks at the human body as a condensed form of Qi, which requires balance and flow. According to TCM, a balance between Yin and Yang (male/female principles), and between the five elements—wood, earth, fire, water, and metal, and the unobstructed flow of energy are essential to health and well-being.

The human body has been found to have 12 energy channels that run superficially, along the surface of the skin, as well as internally; each of these channels is related to a different organ system. On these channels, there are specific points that relate to the energy of these organ systems. Disease is understood as an imbalance or lack of flow of Qi. Acupuncture uses tiny, hair-thin needles to work with the specific points to promote the balance and flow of Qi.

Other therapeutic forms of TCM that I use in my work include:

  • Acupressure (hands-on pressure)
  • Tuning Forks
  • Moxibustion (herbal heating device)
  • Cupping (suction)
  • Toyo Hari Tools (silver devices)

I studied TCM in order to have a complete medical understanding of the human body. This knowledge helps me in every healing session; it informs me about what is happening and helps me determine what needs to be done. Though hands-on therapy is the most direct healing I know, I value the TCM as a very powerful healing method that is sometimes faster and more effective.

My Treatments

Over the years, I have acquired many different healing modalities and tools and have become fluent in their use. In my sessions with clients, I use these tools according to their appropriate effectiveness and ability to address presenting issues, and often in combination with one another. Counseling is woven throughout the healing sessions. I will listen carefully to your body and symptoms, as well as your words and stories, in order to help you discover a deeper truth, more freedom, and increased ability to experience and enjoy your life!

My Clients

My clients come for a wide range of complaints and desires. Some come with chronic physical ailments. Many of these ailments are the result of previous accidents and illnesses such as, whiplash, brain or head injuries, lower back pain, migraines and headaches, tinnitus, vertigo, neck tension, hypertension, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia.

Many clients with chronic complaints have already exhausted more conventional medical treatments which, while offering some results, have not eliminated the core issues and cannot address the chronic pain. Often, because you have lived with chronic difficulties for some time, resolving them through our work together may require several treatments.

More acute conditions, like recent whiplash or other injuries, acute lower back pain, headaches, or sinusitis, may require fewer treatments to resolve.

Some of my clients come with emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief over lost loved ones, or the loss of direction and meaning. By finding and releasing (often through verbal expression) the places in your body where emotional pain is stored, I can help you recover your essential vital energy.

Other clients come for spiritual growth. Some of you have lost a connection with your soul and spirit and often feel paralyzed by conflicting beliefs or ideas. Together, we can peel away the layers and uncover your soul so that it may express itself and bring new meaning to your life.

Cost of Sessions

Treatment sessions last 1 hour and 15 minutes and cost $115.

"Ursula is a fearless therapist. She is willing to go where angels fear to tread, willing to ask difficult questions, and I find I am willing to respond fearlessly as well, albeit with complaining. She creates an accepting space for healing."
~ W.W., Seattle, WA

"I thought you'd appreciate knowing the AMAZING, WONDERFUL, HUGE, I'VE BEEN WORKING TOWARDS FOR DECADES!!! shift that occurred as a direct result of the work we did on Wednesday. The last pieces "clicked" into place and yesterday I was finally able to move/twist thru my ribs, shoulder, neck and pelvis evenly in both directions. I've been struggling to reclaim this movement for ages. Because you share your gifts and talents, I am better able to reclaim and share mine."
~ C, Seattle, WA
