Healing happens on many levels, but the deepest and most enduring healing takes place in the realm of the soul. Cranio-Sacral is one of the most powerful tools we have for connecting with the soul as it manifests in the body. ~ Ursula

Cranio-Sacral Therapy ~ NHRC Approach to Teaching

Cranio-Sacral work is a puzzle made up of many pieces each requiring repeated examination from several angles, involving different aspects of our selves. Only after disciplined exploration can we actually see or comprehend the whole picture or the depth of this work. Because Cranio-Sacral work is multi-faceted, so, too, is our approach to teaching it. We believe that we all learn in a variety of ways and on a variety of levels, so we teach this work in a way that makes it accessible for you regardless of your learning style. Our ultimate goal is to help you develop a strong sense of competence and creativity with this work.

Each class will address the following four areas for learning and development: physical/technical, experiential, spiritual, and intuitive.

The Physical / Technical

We will do an in-depth study of the anatomy and physiology of the structures and have lots of supervised hands-on practice of the techniques.

The Exper­i­en­tial

Through receiving this work, you will experience how this work affects the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspect of your being. Your own experience of this work will increase your ability to address the same aspects of your clients’ beings.

The Spiri­tu­al

Here we will focus on opening up to your life forces and moving away from judgment and blame. You will learn to connect with your greatest wisdom and inner-knowing so that you are able to create and hold the same healing space for your clients. In this way, concern with curing and fixing fade as you open to new understandings about life and healing.

The Intu­i­tive

The emphasis here will be to help you move away from a prescriptive application of the techniques toward your own sense of what needs to happen. You will learn to open yourself up to and trust your intuition. This will help you feel, hear, and discern the issues that underlie presenting symptoms or complaints.

We will use different techniques to speak to and draw forth different aspects of you, the practitioner, in order to deepen your relationship with and understanding of Cranio-Sacral work. Techniques include: lectures, slide presentations, bone specimens, technique demonstrations, poetry and story telling, meditation, psychometry, cold readings, exploration of the energetic aspects of the related structures, and supervised hands-on practice sessions.

You will discover that your learning in these classes goes way beyond the intellectual and academic. You will experience personal transformation and healing both as an individual and as a practitioner.
